Transport Services

We have two transport services available at Langley Hall Primary Academy. The first is our shuttle bus service, which runs between the Upper and Lower School sites at the start and end of the school day. This service is allocated on a first come, first served basis and places are limited to 16 per shuttle. Once the allocations are full, children are added to a waiting list. Shuttle bus places are booked through the school intranet booking system.

In the mornings, a shuttle bus service from Lower School to Upper School is available approximately every 10 -15 minutes from 8.00am, with the last bus leaving the Upper School site at 8.35am. From Upper School to Lower School, the shuttle bus service starts at 8.15am and the last bus leaves the Lower School site at 8.45am. If children arrive late and miss the last shuttle bus service, parents are required to take their child to the appropriate site.

At the end of the school day, we run a pre-booked shuttle bus service from Lower School to Upper School at 3.00pm, 3.15pm, 3.30pm, 3.45pm, 4.00pm and 4.15pm.

The service available and offered to children will be dependent on which year group they are in and their class finishing time. From Upper School to Lower School, there are two pre-booked shuttle buses that leave at 3.50pm.

We also operate a minibus service which collects children from their home address and drops them home again at the end of the day. The cost for this service is £1.80 per journey (please note one journey is either home to school or school to home). Although we aim to accommodate as many children as possible, minibus places are quite limited and are dictated by the routes that the buses take (these are calculated based on applicant addresses).  If an application is made for a place on our minibus service, acceptance to the service is made in writing by the Clubs and Transport Manager. Morning pick up times are from 7.00am and home drop off times are up to 4.45pm – all are calculated on journey times required for each route.
