Sport
Langley Hall Primary Academy believes that Physical Education should be creative, captivating and inspiring. Children can participate in a plethora of sports, develop core skills and gain valuable experience in competitive sports through our extremely successful school teams. Sports taught at LHPA include Football, Netball, Rugby, Athletics, Gymnastics, Basketball, Tennis, Rounder’s, Cricket, Hockey, Swimming, Dance, Danish Longball and Handball. This abundance of sports develops a wide variety of skills that prepare children for competitive sports but also for life, linking in with our school motto “We are preparing for life”. We have a passionate PE team, and this is reflected in planning, preparation, and execution of lessons, providing children with the best possible physical education.
Reception children learn through Create Development Storybooks, which gives them a fun and creative way to develop their fundamental movement skills, which acts as a foundation to develop their skills further and put them into practice with fun games and creative challenges.
The PE team consists of 3 Sports leaders, Christopher Johnson who is Head of Sport, Bailey Jackson who is Football Coordinator and Michele Forster who is Netball Coordinator supported by 7 Sports Coaches bringing our Sports Team total to 11.
