During the academic year 2018-2019, 95% of external sports fixtures that Langley Hall participated in were won by our teams – this included Football, Netball, Rounders and Cricket.
During the academic year 2019-2020, planned fixtures were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the academic year 2020-2021, fixtures were unable to take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Swimming
During the academic year 2019-2020, 97% of Year 2 children who started with us in Reception could swim 25m unaided which is the government expectation for the end of Year 6 – this is 4 years earlier than expected.
91% of Year 6 children reached the national target to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres.
75% of Year 6 children were able to use a range of strokes effectively (for example, front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke).
73% of Year 6 children could perform safe self-rescue in different water based situations.
During the academic year 2020-2021, 53% of Year 2 children who started with us in Reception could swim 25m unaided.
100% of Year 6 children reached the national target to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25m.

During this academic year, swimming has been impacted by the closure of schools and public swimming pools due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
