Langley Hall Primary Academy

Holiday Club

Our Holiday Clubs run for 12 weeks of the school holiday periods from 8.00am to 6.00pm. Each day is packed with activities and each week is based upon a particular focus or theme. The club is led by Langley Hall staff and is usually based at the Lower School site on St. Mary's Road, so that we can make use of our heated indoor swimming pool every day. This service is available both our LHPA children and non LHPA. Our fantastic holiday club is for children aged 5-13 years old.

We provide all a variety of  activities from swimming, football, cooking, film making, archery and many more.. and an afternoon snack alongside a wide range of resources. Children are required to bring a packed lunch, drink and their swimming costume, hat and towel each day.

Places at our Holiday Club are limited and allocated on a 'first come first served' basis. The club can be booked for selected days or full weeks, although a minimum booking of two days per week is required.

How to Book

Bookings can be made by downloading, printing and completing the form at the back of the Extended Year Brochure and returning this to the school office.

The cost is £35 per day per child, £33 per day per child if you book two or more children £140 per 5 day week . Full payment must be received 7 days before the club starts and no refunds are given due to absence or non-attendance.

Holiday Club Feedback

I like to share my son's amazing holiday experience in Langley Hall Academy. We use clubs option on regular basic during half terms. Variety of activities, such as: arts, sports, cooking , life skills and more, based on different themes each week. What's more, school offers swimming activities with experienced teachers. At home, we have opportunity to continue developing my son's skills by doing delicious cup cakes or healthy salads.  My son absolutely loves to attend clubs and usually asks to not pick him up too early!

I want to say thank you for all staff for making clubs such a great experience.

Big thanks to  Beryl Chetty, for accommodating holiday clubs for my son even in the short notice.

Our 5 year old has been going to the holiday club at LHPA for the last couple of years. She is excited to go there every time. They have a lot of activities, she has even learned to swim there. The staff are very friendly.

Thanks
Ravi

Pia attended the February half-term holiday club and had a lovely time. She was eager and excited to go in, and would come home happily. The club allows her to explore different activities, such as cooking and computer games, whilst encouraging her to make new friends and grow her confidence.

The club seems to achieve a balance of keeping children in their age group, so they feel secure and settled, but also opening it up so they can interreact with a range of ages.

Pia enjoys the swimming, sports and crafts. The afternoon movie and own-made snack is a real treat on some days.

The staff are all very friendly and happy to assist with any issues, if they arise. For a parent, this is comforting and we know Pia is well looked after.

Kind regards,

Shubneet

Having worked in Holiday club for a number of years, I have had the pleasure of leading our technology-based activities, from using PCs to create art work and run Quiz's to using iPads and editing software to allow our children to create film trailers and taking photography courses.

I have been at Langley Hall 7 years and each year Holiday Club continues to develop and the Holiday Club team continues to bring new innovative and exciting activities to half term. As Head of Sport for LHPA, I oversee the Sports at Holiday club continuing my vision of providing a wide range of excellent sporting opportunities for all children. The variety of sports we offer during Holiday club are fantastic, Football, Cricket, Hockey, Dodgeball, Gymnastics, Rounders, Rugby, Basketball, Swimming and just to name a few! All sports sessions are run by LHPA's own specialist sports coaches. I have also taken on responsibility for Cooking during Holiday club in 2023, so there will certainly be some tasty treats being made this year. My passion for Food and Sport combines during Holiday Club and I know 2023 will be another exciting year of opportunities throughout.
